Wooh. Finally blogging again after so long.. Uni life's really busy with so many events and so much stuffs to study.. Living in hall is really an experience cos' there's like so many fun ppl and fun events like hall ball, meeting for meals, games, (including sleeping in wee hours) etc etc etc..

Seriously need to manage time properly man.
1. Family(i want more time with family! now is like only 1week see them 2days only!)
2. Studies(hmwk + revision)
3. SYCO(concert faster end!)
4. Changkat CC(i want to retire~ yet, i noe i'll miss the ppl there damn lots)
4. Hall events/(committee? i need to join something to be able to stay in hall next yr, but now already so busy! ><)
6. NTUCO(another new one to the list)
7. Dizi grading(should i take? do i have time to prac?)
8. Dizi individual lesson(should i take up the tempting tuition scheme?)
9. Teaching dizi lesson n tuition(coping okay so far)

BMT Apache Section 1 outing.

This is rare! haha.. Had an dinner outing yesterday with army bmt section mates: buddy Zong yi, dekai and jason, at Marina Square.. All reached late except me.. -.- so i went shop for SP gift at City Link.. had a hard time deciding wad to buy though..

After near 1hr of walking arnd then they finally arrived.. Went Wang Jiao HK cafe to eat.. food was okok.. and the riduculous thing is when dk asked for plain water, the waitress actually said it's 20cents, and 40cents for cold one! (isn't it supposed to be foc for restaurants?) haha..

After finishing dinner and catching up with each other, we went to Esplanade rooftop to twang and do more catching up.. Parted arnd 11plus.. hope to have another outing soon, probably with more ppl next time!

Final gig perf + Perf at SSA

Casper, QS n I ended our 3rd and final gig perf of the Singapore HeritageFest 09 at the Northpoint yesterday and it was quite good(although not as good as the one at Suntec), and thanks to CT for helping us with phototaking!

After the gig, QS drove us over to Singapore Soka Association to help out with an event performance.. I must say the sound engineer, stage crew and the in-charge are very committed and they did a better job than all those for the gigs.. Haha.. I think it's better not to compare so much.. 人比人气死人. =P Was impressed with the motivational talk by the patient who miraculously recovered from colon cancer and by the violinist who had a very high standard.

2nd gig performance.

Casper, QS n me had our 2nd gig performance at Suntec atrium.. Today's perf was better than the previous one at Centrepoint, having a better DJ and a better stage.. We even had some students from NYP who interviewed us as part of their project.. It's kinda funny being interviewed with a voice recorder, as if being interviewed by news reporter.. haha!

After performance, the 3 of us tgt with QS's soka fren went for lunch at Botak Jones cos got voucher from NDP preview.. haha super shiok! And after lunch since we were quite free and Casper can't go home yet, we went play L4D at bugis.. althought it's my 2nd time playing, it's way more cool this time round with the mic and earphones! We can like communicate n enhance teamwork... n talk cock of cos! haha.. hope i dun get addicted to it. :D

I'm going nuts! Freakin suay day..

Morning walked to bus stop waiting for bus.. End up realised i forgot bring my phone with me(2nd time in the week!). Walked back home, thankfully halfway saw my mum running towards my direction with my phone! super touched! Thx mum! haha.

Afternoon left cc early to meet aunt at Parkway Parade(who came down from Dover) to recontract my mobile plan and at the same time change it to under my name. And also to recontract my bro's mobile plan. End up realised my bro's n my plans both haven expire(thought it was 18mths den can change le, but they say 24mths!) then cannot get new phone at cheaper price, need pay $100 more. The other thing was i can't change my plan to under my name cos haven 21yrs old so i can only have 1 line under my name which i already used for my bro's plan! So paiseh to my aunt who came down all the way la...

New dizi student.

Yay i've a new dizi student and we had our 1st lesson today.. :D We arranged to meet at the bus stop and the funny thing was.. My student was behind me and din call me until i turned back and noticed her there.. After that she said i looked like secondary school age thats why thought i wasn't the person! -.-

With good music background as a piano teacher herself and studying music as a minor, she managed to pick up on playing dizi quite fast within just a lesson-- able to play almost the whole range of notes(only with abit more difficulties on higher notes), hitting minimum 4 seconds of long notes, memorised most of the notes for the basic fingering. Only minus points are the tone and tuning of the notes played due to lip and air control. Can't wait for next lessons to come!

Chamber music derives from western classical music. Originally music by family members playing together for self-entertainment, chamber music has developed into fine music performances by small ensembles. Coincidentally, traditional Chinese music originated from small ensembles of instruments such as erhu, pipa, dizi, that allow the musicians to showcase their artistry.

Currently, full orchestral music is the trend and that causes young musicians to drift further from the traditional origins. In this chamber series, hear the SYCO members perform newly-arranged Chinese chamber music, in performance formats borrowed from western chamber music but playing works infused with the quintessence of traditional Chinese music.

Programme planner cum conductor, Quek Ling Kiong, make bold moves by bringing together Liu Tian Hua’s master piece, Song of Birds in a Desolate Mountains, liuqin ensemble’s version of Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto in G Major, and contemporary and experimental work Drama all in one performance. Appreciate the sounds of Chinese music, vibrancy of youth and return of the traditional.

I don't know why...

but i'm having a fear in me-- keep having the thought that when uni starts, all the things that i'm enjoying now will be replaced by the 'hectic, busy' and all new undergrad student lifestyle.

I'm seriously enjoying the life i'm leading now-- hanging out with CC frens(both co gang and the newly formed i call 'my co gang 2' for mini meet-ups like concerts, meals and badminton sessions, going for CC and SYCO practices once or twice every weekly and playing music which i really enjoy very much with fun people, playing basketball with the nyjc gang, teaching dizi lessons and tuition few times a week...

Will i be able to maintain all these current activities when i transit into the next phase of my life?

When uni starts, i can forsee myself getting busy with the course workload. In addition to that, i'll most probably be staying in the uni hall and there'll be alot of hall activities. (which means it'll really feel like i'm back to army-- mondays to fridays in camp, no, school.. and only saturdays and sundays i'll be back home, which i'll be using the time to teach dizi n tuition and go for CC practices)... ...

Really hope i can still frequent CC everyweek for practices.. Mr. Boo still wants to me to plan a concert in December.. Actually i myself do want to have one, so that it not only serves as a chance for the juniors to gain experience from performing, but simultaneously getting the senior members back to perform and for us to have a gathering. Alot of people have asked me: "Why are you so 'on', still go CC for practice every week without fail even though you've graduated(from sec sch) and up till now?" I think the reasons are because firstly, i've been there for so many years and it has already become a 2nd home to me. Secondly, CC is the important platform and reason why i am at my current standard of dizi playing and the countless number of friends i've made-- from practising like there's no tomorrow with ChaoYong and YanDeng in the sec sch days, to stepping up to lead the orchestra as the president, to the CC's inaugural concert in 2006 up to the concert in 2008. Very often, i do feel 'tired' of being the president, especially when i don't have a batch of very committed and constant committee. I really don't blame them because i know they do have their other commitments and i haven really been a good president to start with, since i'm quite slack at alot of times... But, i really do hope i can form a new committee for this year 2009 and at least plan a good concert for the end of year. What i need is time, and commitment, not only myself, but also from the orchestra...

Woah, just realised i've written out what i've been putting inside me all these while.. Surprisingly, it kind of feels good.. However, can anyone assure me that after uni starts, i can still maintain the life now that i really want?

Performance at Suntec for ICP 2009

Woke up at 6am.. yes.. 6am.. it's been a long time since i wake up so early.. surprisingly i managed to get myself up quite fast after hp alarm rang...

Met up with Yvonne and her parents outside the Convention Hall there.. Had a short talk with her dad, after which i found out from Yvonne that he's a warrant officer in the army.. =S haha.. Had a conversation with Mr Lim from MOE and Mrs Heng, the principal from Nanyang pri.. and found out that Mrs Heng is also an enthusiast in CO and she asked us about the more prominent figures in CO which was also from her 'era'. She also gave me her namecard and kind of invited us to go to her pri sch CO to like perf and entertain the kids.. Funny thing was, she kept telling us not to panic for the perf when we are actually not really panicking.. :D

Performance was quite short.. I played my 五梆子 and Yvonne played her 战台风 on guzheng.. i had a few mistakes here n there but tink i managed to hide it off.. =P Got the chance to went backstage to hear the performance when it was Yvonne's turn and i tink she did quite well and up to her usual standard. After performance we each went home separately. :D

Due to the huge response of people asking me to plan another chalet, i can affirm that the 'post chalet syndrome' virus has spread... haha.. I wan plan another chalet in dec! but not sure whether i'll be able to... Really really need to see how busy i'll be when uni starts... damn.. i'm so getting used to my ord-long-holidays le... and it's ending in 1month's time~~

sianzz... i dun tink i can go for the SPMS camp from 27th july-1st aug le.. out of the 5 days got 3 days are SYCO prac + perf @ esplanade... I so wana go for both mannnnnnn... no choice.. suck thumb.

1st time sitting in Casper's car today! He actually rented a car and we went to 兜风 before he returned it then we went to eat DURIANS! sinfully shiok~ finally eat before the durian season end... haha!

Back from chalet!

Glad it was kinda successful, with attendance of members from current sec2s up to xiaopeng generation n oso Mr n Mrs Boo.. Had lots of fun too with all the people who went..

BBQ: Food was just enough i guess.. only that certain accessories(charcoal, tong) were in excess and quite wasted.. haha we bought a watermelon for the bbq!

Nitewalk: Pasir ris Park/Mangrove swamp. quite not bad, but maybe if there's a next time, will exclude the lightsticks.. haha.. too bright, atmosphere not scary enough. The playground was the highlight.. haha.. played all the way from arnd 2am till 4am..

WildwildWet: my 2nd time going, and i tried the SlideUp for the 1st time! really exciting but makes me wana keep playing. haha..

Thx to all who attended and made the chalet so fun! hope u all had enjoyed it as much as i do. :D

nyco chalet

Went for nyco chalet at ECP ytd.. totally enjoyed the talk-cock session with the group.. =D Had nite cycling throughout the nite from 11pm-6am.. We cycled from ECP to geylang to eat tauhuay and youtiao! Then continued on highway to Singapore Flyer where we actually 'raced' and took pics at the F1 racing track! Last stop was at Esplanade, where we(or maybe i) caught some 1hr plus sleep before we headed back to chalet. Almost shagged out... but shiok-ingly enjoyable!

Received a call from syco management regarding the HK trip in august... Good news: all who auditioned were chosen for the camp. Bad news: not allowed to go 'cos of H1N1 problems. zzz.. kinda feeling abit disappointed. Hopefully next year still can go lo..

Went watch NYCO's rehearsal for SYF at SCH today with Wan Ying and Jessly.. Saw Delia, Zhiwen and Jeremy(SACO was having rehearsal before NY) before going up to hall.. zzz.. if i'd known i wud have gone earlier to hear SA's rehearsal...

No joke. NY's improved alot since my 05/06 batch.. There's so many members now and all the sections are like so high standard as compared to then.. Dizi instructor changed to Mr Lim alrdy.. (so good!).. Ding laoshi's expectations higher and stricter than before.. She said one thing to the orchestra which i think will be quite useful when playing instruments, especially woodwinds: '用演奏大声的状态来把小声奏出来'. I tink this yr's SYF getting a gold no problem.. Aim for GWH! Jiayou NYCO! :D

2 months plus.. seemingly short.. but it felt like an eternity and sweet 'period of time'...

Went Novena eat seafood buffet with CO gang.. Zhongming, Julian, M.A.D., yihui and james.. i swear really ate till super full, until cant breathe properly.. But the food was Oiishi! =D (guess i need to work it off by going for jogs le)... (oh wait.. i always say so and when was the last time i went jogging again? =P) After eating, hung arnd at Novena S.C. n Square 2.. and played dare and took pictures.. FUN!

Just came home from steamboat dinner session with mum n dad.. Was supposed to go Food fair at Suntec.. but ended up going Bugis cos i promised them to bring them there last time.. haha.. Met up with aunt and went for the steamboat buffet shop across Bugis Junction... Eat till super bloated! fat liao fat liao.. =x Din took any photos thou.. haha..

Ubin trip.

Went tracking at P. Ubin for the 1st time with Ah boy Gerald today..

We set off quite early in the morning arnd 9am and went Changi village there to take a short 10min ride on bumper boat to the island. Upon reaching at around 1030am we start our hiking towards the Eastern part and up to the summit of the island. There, we managed to see a quarry with an averagely sized lake at the bottom.. Stayed there to rest and take pictures for awhile before continuing our way down back to the jetty for lunch.

Lunch was nasi lemak bought earlier from Changi village market from a popular tendor.. wanted to save money as the food sold there were slightly more expensive.. After lunch at 12plus we continued towards Chek Jawa at the western end of the island..

It was a longer distance walk this time compared to going to the summit.. But we were lucky the sun wasn't too glaring amidst the canopy of the trees from the side of the tracks. Really reminds me of the times in army when i was doing route march in Tekong. Haha! Just when we reached our destination, it started to drizzle but it wasn't that heavy so we just walked on anyway. Kinda unlucky we din really see much of the fauna at Chek Jawa-- only saw few mudskippers and very tiny crabs. Continuing further on, we reached the viewing tower where we met a bunch of pri sch scouts led by Gerald's frens.. The scouts even mistook him as an instructor cos he's wearing the scout logo and 'instructor' print. The view at the ~5storeys high tower was quite not bad, can see quite far but not clear only.

After Check Jawa, we backtracked to the jetty. Along the way, it rained, this time downpour and we had to run quite a distance to our next shelter.. When we finally got to the shelter, we din really stay for more than 5mins as we were kind of being feasted by mosquitoes on our legs. By the time we reached back to the jetty at arnd 2.30pm, my legs were cui-ed.. Sat down at a drink stall and opened coconuts to drink. The feeling of drinking a nice cold coconut after a tiring(but fulfilling) walk/run is super shiok. Bumperboated back to Sg after that. =)

Went out with her to study and helped her with the oh-gosh-so-much holidays homeworks for the whole afternoon and then go TM look for her 'list-of-to-read-books' storybook.. was kinda lucky to find the final one on the shelf.. then bused to his hse area pasam malam there for snacks in the late evening.. It's a long time since they've each gone for such nite market... bought "some"(actually quite alot) food and they settled down to eat tgt.. He really relishes the moment eating and laughing with her over those tiny bits of funny stuffs. =)

Yay i'm going Ubin tomorrow~ =D

Went for swimming with neighbour Gerald on mon.. Actually wanted to go Tamp Safra but found out only brought one Safra card... Non members oso need to use cashcard pay.. in the end no cashcard we walked under the hot sun to Tamp sports complex there de swimming pool.. By the time reach there close to noon time.. Swam 20laps den go for lunch den back home le... Today woke up den felt the sunburnt pain on shoulders... zzzzzz.. Going again tml morning! yays.

Finally had my most 'busy' day since ord... out of hse from 8am and back at 10pm...

Went to pri sch to teach dizi today.. had 2 sessions, one in the morning one in afternn... Morning was ok since only 3students and easier to manage... Afternn had 11students and.... it was ChoatiC again. -_-" somemore today afternn weather hot like siao, we had no aircon room to prac in, had to prac in the open, and i freakin got ulcer in my mouth.. Shucks man.

After lesson, went to Serangoon to meet CT to pass him the tix for Ntuco concert.. (Thx CT for buying 6tix from me although u cant personally come watch! =D ).. Had dinner at there den went for SYCO prac as usual.. And finally back home after a long day out. Hah.

Went celebrate Wang jia's bday at dbl O with jason, desmond, andrew, zurui, ben, wayne, ah long, ming jun, wei loon, royce.. drank super lots, and reached a new limit(without getting drunk) :D Left at 1plus and fell straight into bed and 'concussed'. XD

Last nite set alarm at 9am for today but i actually woke up at 7.45am surprisingly! guess i'm quite used to the 7.45 wake-up timing le... that's gd news.. goes to show i'm not 'lazy pig'. haha! Got quite alot of sweets, chocs at cc today from alot of frens.. In fact, almost everyone got something from one another.. :D Kim actually bought a bouquet of many flowers and distribute to almost all of us a stalk each. Prac was kinda as usual today.. ZZZ..

Nothing beats her handmade card with her own design and her own drawing and her lovely 'u-decipher-it' message.. =)

Finally tml's ORD day... can officially be a civilian with pink ic... :)

Recently, it's been eventful, with the past 4 days having CO pracs and celebrating ZM n SY's bday on last Sun...

Talking about pracs, i found out that i'm currently having an avg of 5prac in a week. =S
Mon- SYCO combine prac(7-9.30pm)
Tue- NTU prac(7-9.30pm)
Wed- SYCO sectional prac(7-9.30pm)
Fri- NTU prac(7-9.30pm)
Sun- CC prac
Plus now got lobang for teaching on wed n thur.. and BHCC prac on sat.. woohoo!!! everyday CO! "GREAT"! luckily this 7days-a-week thing doesn't last all the way.. can rest slightly after ntu's concert on 27th feb...

Is she the one? Am i able to help her? Am i able to give her what she needs? I really want to help her break the barriers in her live and see her being happy-- the real happy that she really needs. But am i the 'correct' person? I'm confused. I don't know the answers, but that doesn't matter for now, for i'll give my best to give her the best she needs all the way.

Teaching pri students.

Gosh.. i guess i'm way too too kind to kids.. Nearly vomited blood today after teaching two sessions of co sectional lessons at one pri sch. haha..

In the morning was lower pri.. dizi students got 5 but only 3 had dizi.. suona students got 6 but none got the reed, and when i finally got the reed and distributed to them, 4 of them spoiled the reed and had to replace it, only to spoil it again. =X Ended up asking the suona students to clap along the rhythm of the few practice pieces.

In the afternn was upper pri.. saw the same 3 dizi students which i taught 2yrs ago.. they're pri 5 now.. and they still rmb me! =D but they're still the same (always laughing and shouting and quarrelling as ever). -.- one of them even come n poke me and climb behind my back. WTH! okay the few of them tend to be better with their skills and that's where the problem lies. Had to go slower with the rest of the section who were new to some pieces(which the few of them alrdy played b4) and the few complaint it was too slow n too boring. Ok greats. Separated them into 2 smaller groups and it got even tougher to coordinate 2groups at a go.

Was quite impressed with how the 2china instructors made the whole lot of them sit down quietly(with their hands on their knees and sit with back straight). haha super fierce(but i guess that's how it works to discipline these kids).. One thing that made me contented was how they thanked the instructors at the end of each lesson. This is how it goes:"起立！行礼！谢谢老师！老师再见！老师辛苦了！“ haha.. it must be the teacher taught them to say that.. but it's good for them i guess.. =) cultivates their respect for teachers.. (okay. bullshit. where was the respect when i had to keep asking them to sit down quietly, around 3 times per success attempt).

YOYO! haven been blogging for quite some time... this week, spent super wasted trips for shopping for new yr stuffs... went bugis, queensway and tampines on 3 separate days and ended up buying nothing... i guess im too picky le... XD think after new yr earn some more money from part time job le den go buy....

Ytd was an unlucky day to do my last COS... so many sai-gangs to do.. plus i nearly lost my camp passs! Then kept having thoughts of having to pay $50 and do extra 4more freakin duties... actually thought someone played a trick on me and kept it, but eventually found it in some stupid corner in the armskote(after checking through the 2ND TIME _|_ ).

Haven been bloggin for the past one week plus or so due to laziness... haha.

Last Sat:
Went ECP for Mic's pre-bday bbq celebration.. quite a number of long-time-no-see co peeps were present too.. :) the food was great n more than enough to fill our stomachs :D spent most of our time on a couple of poker card 'future-reading' sessions conducted by Zhong ming.. and i finally roller-bladed after so long!... and fell on my arse. -_-" Most imptly, WE HAD FUN.

Last Sun:
CC prac as usual on Sun.. xiao peng came for own prac too! but din really had the chance to prac with him as i was at combines. zzz. Brought this 'beautiful dreamer' quartet score for the dizi peeps to prac.. was kinda funny but ended up not bad though..

The screwed-up thing on the day was that Noelene lost her wallet.. the slightly lucky thing was she din haf much cash inside. This is how it goes... she came back from lunch and put her wallet into her bag. I asked the dizi section for sectionals outside. She went in after half an hr or so and the wallet's freakin' gone. Checked the bags of everyone who was there n couldn't find it. Went down to office to look at the cctv but cudn't really confirm whether izit 'that person'. Can't really confirm whether someone stole her wallet or she misplaced it. If it's someone who stole it, it'd better not be anyone from our own orchestra. If not, i freakin Eff the person blue. XD

Went for Nyco gathering at bugis in the evening and had steamboat with Casper, YingX2, Sihui, TzeRong, Serene L, Genial?, ZhiHui, JunCheng, Mengtak and XiuJun. Food n soup was yummy! And we payed for 10 person's worth instead of 11! XD -Shhhhh!!- Strolled over to Starbucks for drinks and more chats before saying byebye. Next gathering: May @ sentosa!

Today:
Have been feeling an urging sense of 'fitness-guilty' for quite some time and in addition to sat's bbq n sun's steamboat n since today's an off day, decided to wake up early arnd 7.30 on an empty stomach for morning PT.. - Go for overseas beach resort holiday (been yearning for one for years le! anyone interested?)

- Go for dizi diploma grading exam

Went for movie outing with Kr, Py, Christine, Pl, Franc and Jas Foo today... Watched Twilight... It's niccceeeee... Will definitely catch the other 2 parts next time (if there is, haha)... And i wana watch the Jack Neo movie and the Ponyo cartoon! XD lol...

After movie went Esplanade rooftop chill... Taught them how to play hunter-n-bear and after a few rounds we played hide-n-seek... okay okay -_-! haha....

Yesterday sunday... went cc for prac in the morning, then went Escape with kr, fran, vann, ngolaam, xenia, pl and christine. 3rd time going.. and the only time i neva puke.. lol! yah lousy i noe.. had alot of fun screaming my lungs out thou... haha..

After escape trip end arnd 5plus, den went over to SY chalet at downtown east.. we actually took 2hrs to start the bbq fire.. -_-" (finally started the fire with the help of neighbouring chalet mates) hahaz... few of us went arcade after bbq-ing.. jing wen n jun yuan made our jaws drop with their super pro skills on the set drum thingy... and i actually played para para for the 1st time.. i swear it's freaking awkward yet FuNnAy.. den we went back n had gossip session all the way till 4plus most of us cannot tahan den slp liao.

Finally my hse laptop's fixed! but the bad news-- whole com's reformatted and all my pics gone! W.T.F. zzzzz.... luckily still got some old ones saved in cd... had a hard time finding n installing drivers and finally able to use internet today.. finally can update the blog... =D

I'm clearing my leaves all the way till next yr! woohoo! and that means (free time X unlimited= holidays)... except x'mas which i'll be doing freakin COS in camp.. -_-" jio me go out!

Went watched bro's SP symphonic band concert on wed... i finally got to see him do a 'solo' on stage... was a duet actually.. and he did quite well.. gd job! it's quite an enjoyable concert..

Gd news~ juz received letter from SYCO ytd informing me that i got shortlisted... greats =D suay thing is i cant go for the compulsory orientation bcos of freakin guard duty.. F that shit man.

Went parkway play pool with kr, julian, cynthia n loretta today.. and i sucked. dats all. haha.

Finally i'm back to blog! Hse com was down so din manage to use com for the long period till today(hari raya). i'm actually in camp doing cos! -_-" sianned.

Finally the big loads' off me!

Have been busy lately with preparations for cc concert and competition..

CC concert on SAT was kinda successful, although we nearly had thoughts of canceling it at the last moment due to bad ticket sales.. luckily at least 90% of the seats were filled on the concert day itself. I swear this will be the last time i'm gonna plan a concert.. It's damn tiring! So glad that everything went quite smoothly for the concert, including my solo.. Million thx to those who had put in their efforts in helping me throughout (Zhongming, Julian, Michelle, Delia, Ann Nee, Cynthia, Vengwai, Huizhen, Millennia, Peiyin, Peilin, Benjamin, all my guest performers and backstage crews), especially to the few who did the costumes and ticketing!

Competition for solo categroy ytd was quite an experience for me... although din manage to get into finals, i din really feel that surprised or sad.. i guess i din performed my best on stage at that moment.. wasn't mentally prepared for the close distance that i was performing in front of the judges.. alrdy had the gut feelings about the results right after performing.. only felt kinda disappointed with my own preparations prior to the competition and sry to disappoint the whole lot who went to support me.. but still thx lots for being there to support!

Now with the last hurdle to clear.. 13th dec.. ensemble finals competition..prac hard n jiayou BHCE!

Went for SY auditions ytd... arrived slightly later n found out dat i was last to audit... got so many applicants for dizi.. total of 11.. ironically, sheng section only has 2 applicants-- one for gao yin n one for zhong yin! Waited from 7 to 9 for my turn to begin... Din really played my normal standard for it.. played quite a number of notes not in tune and the judges din comment or ask me anything.. is that gd or bad? haha... hoping for the gd news to come soon..

Shuckz... Most or all of my surrounding frens have finished 'O's n 'A's, enjoying their holidays while i, even though finishing the last impt hurdle of my army life, am still feeling super stressed n low, with so many impt events ahead of me for the coming weeks...

Up till now, i'm still having doubts about whether the concert will be successful... Shortage of ppl here and there, lack of prac, administrative stuffs not yet settled...

Next in mind is the competition.. a mere 10days without practicing, and i can actually hear how much my already-low-standard has dropped...

Next tue's the audition for syco.. i can only say i'm 60% prepared, with queries not yet answered for some parts of the set pieces... Pass or fail? It's all up to my last few practs this week le.

As for guard duty matters, i haf to say sry to all those whom i caused trouble for... seriously i didn't took mc for any-ol'-how and skipped my guard yesterday, which i wasn't informed of. The only med appt i can take for the week was wed n the treatment for my foot made me limped for the past 2days. Maybe due to last min changes i was told i only have one on next thurs. Only ytd i'm told my slot has changed to this sun n tue, on which the 2days i'm having concert rehearsal and audition separately. I oso haf no choice and cant do both cos the 2events are way too impt for me. (Sry Syivest, to trouble u to find replacements for me).

Went out with Kr, py, pl, fran n vann to orchard today... Starting all quite sian sian nothing much to talk about then after lunch at Pastamania, we watched The Coffin at Cathay... Something about lying in a coffin will get rid of ur bad karma, but the bad karma will land on someone you love. Kinda scary n bloody for a few parts of the show... but quite common effects of Thai movies so the scary parts were sort of expected..

After the movie, we actually wanted go Marina to bowl but in the end cancelled as Kr need to go alter his jeans... so the rest of us went over to Esplanade.. Halfway felt like having craving for ice-cream so we shared a big bowl of ice cream scoops at Gelare.. super shiok.. different flavours de...

Over at esplanade roof top... (ok i noe this is super childish), we played hide-n-seek! super fun la.. ultra long time neva play liao.. lucky not much ppl arnd there.. or else super malu.. lol! (Will post pics after i receive them)

Off to india tml! Hope to haf a successful n fun live firing experience.. =D

shucks.. feel so shitty over so many things now...

had a bad day at the cc... nobody informed me or boo about a function going on at the auditorium.. and we are supposed to hold last 5th combine today before the concert on 6th dec. Got freaking angry dat until today, concert so near alrdy the cc still allow other ppl to hold function at our only place to haf combines.... and boo had to make it worse by nagging more to me.... -_-! zZZZZzz x 100. ended up having to prac at the 'fish tank'... freaking squeezed everone inside.. cramped up.. super felt like flaring up at that moment but managed to control luckily... after lunch self-prac for awhile den went off arnd 4plus with kim, hz n julian to play pool at roxy..

nac competition is juz a month away! and it has to be arnd the same period as the concert... which means double-the-stress.. Cool... I 'love' stress man.. haha.. zzz.. so far i still feel dat my standard is not really up 'there' yet... and i've yet to prac a single prac with my piano accompaniment yet! okay juz planned our 1st prac next wed before i'm off to india.. hope there wun be any changes to the plan so we can at least prac half the song before i'm left with 2weeks to prac after coming back. Freak shit! i swear i'm so gonna SUPER CHIONG dizi every single available day when i'm back..

Sian1/2 tml morning still need go back camp for guard briefing shit. Which means waking up early.. actually doesnt matter much.. used to waking up early anyway... only sian thing is spend one hr going back for the 30min thing and spend one hr returning home. Shud i go swimming tml? shall see tml.. :D

I'm on leave for this whole week! yeah cool. Long long rest all the way to 6th nov before flying of to INDIA with army for live firing.. Will be back on 17th nov.. So far haven spending these few days quite 'fruitfully', (not staying at home n rot is considered fruitful to me le.. XD)

went for dizi lesson n co practices as usual on sat n sun... Mon n today were 'sports days' for me.. haha.. did 4 sports.. Mon: had morning run plus statics training, evening my neighbour gerald came over n we decided to go play table tennis with my bro too. Both of them are freakin funny n standards still as gd as few yrs ago when we last played.. had a gd laughing session instead.. =P Tue: Went for swimming, swam a reasonably gd 20 laps.. greats.. timing improve le.. Afternn met up with Kinren, Peiyin, Peilin, Francine n Vanissa for badminton.. initially wanted to play at kallang cc but no available courts end up playing at whompoa cc(cui-ed), but it was fun though.. super long neva play badminton oso.. glad that i still cud hit arnd 70% of all hits.. LOL! guess tml will be resting day.. or mayb go orchard? haha! still pending.. =D

This week's last Bn outfield was rather quite relaxing for me n my bty, esp for D6.. 1stly, 4d3n exercise last min changed to 3d2n... haha.. 2ndly, 7-ton happened to breakdown in the middle of the road, end up doing 1 less deployment.. :D somemore 2nd nite got Bn BBQ.. shiok la.. eating bbq prawn, satay, chicken wing etc etc(plus our self supplied beer!!) during outfield is an enjoyment.. The only sucky thing was that after ex finish go back camp still need settle stores n handover standby items to bravo..

today best.. morning's 7km live run cancelled due to rain.. slpt all the way till 10plus.. :D afternn packed most of the stuffs for india trip... den evening go spec mess 'celebrate' deepavali n makan indian cuisine.. den book out!

gosh, juz gotten the set piece n scales for syco audition on 25th nov.. hope got enuf time to prac before audition.. :D

I thought today's pract at cc was quite good, and i was quite satisfied with the attendance.. only thing we're lacking now is the need for more erhu, zhongruan, pipa and cello players for a more balanced orchestra.. another thing is that members really need to put in effort in reaching on time for pract.. the best scenario i can ever imagine happening is that by 9.30 the whole orchestra can be sitted there waiting for conductor to start pract.. haha..

Went to E!hub to celebrate julian's bday after pract.. played arcade 1st.. haha.. the look-out-for-the-diff-between-the-two-photos game was fun and challenging.. after that we ate at this bbq chicken shop.. the 7 of us(julian, huizhen, zhongming, mic, delia, noelene, me) ate 2 family meals.. plus the cake mic n delia purchased from Prima, it was awwwwwssooome(for my stomach) haha... sinful sinful... (will post photos for the celebrations after i receive from mic..) after that went home.. :D

today's prac at bhcc went quite well as usual... joel and jun yuan really make good erhu partners.. haha! they actually can play sai ma in this manner: 2erhus, and they each play using each other's bow. Seriously challenging but super entertaining.. haha.... other than practising, mr ng taught us about posture today and i tot it was quite useful for us as performers on stage.. arghz.. still need more prac on bawu to improve for the feng wei zhu song... jiayou jonny!

This week's been quite similar to previous weeks.. only dat this week we had the 'outfield' in camp, doing det prof test.. luckily for d6 we were blessed with a good deployment ground for action front cease fire.. for hooking unhooking was quite lucky too cos was given time to read up the 'secret manual' a night before the test. For misfiring drill, haha.. i kinda screw up but shud be still pass la. haha.. Results not computed yet, but hopefully pass with not so bad result la... :D if results are good, i seriously think 90% credit goes to the men, 10% for me only.. gun knowledge too lousy le and cant really memorise things last min, plus answering 'uncle momo' makes one super stress.. haha.. answer actually correct he can confuse you till you give wrong answer.. power la.

This week's battalion ex was rather ok.. think we're kinda getting the hang of it already... actually supposed to start at 9am on 1st day but ended up starting arnd 4plus in afternn, due to lack of drivers... hengs :D everything went quite smoothly, only few minor problems but we still managed to remedy... super shiok on 2nd nite...d5 n d6 kinda 'celebrated' andrew's bday outfield with carlsberg and Sng managed to call thru 98.7fm and dedicated a song for him.. the conversation on the radio was super funny... here's a part of it..

went for medical appt today.. was supposed to have a minor surgery for the wart on my foot but ended up being cancelled cos the doc said it's quite painful and will take quite long to recover... was thinking: 'still got 3more outfields how to do sia...' so changed back to normal treatments again..

sux.. gotta burn some sundays doing sentry duty for standby.. super sian..

Woke up late today... reached home about 3plus am ytd(nope.. today) after playing pool at parkway and drinking with andrew... power la.. we played at the best table they've got and can really feel the diff(although i keep losing to the pro).. still got way long to learn man.. haha.... guessed i broke my record again ytd.. super shiok.. drink till seh seh... a few more glasses wud haf knocked me out le.. haha...

Today's boring again.. (seriously need more lobang if not my life will be no-life haha!).. practised abit of dizi... After awhile got bored watched bro play dota.. Looked thru my cupboards and happened to saw the old letters and the only printed photo dat 'we' took. Somehow the past memories appeared vague n blurry in my mind.. maybe it's been quite awhile le.. duno wad made me do it, but i decided to fully forget everthing.. took a last glance thru the stuffs then dumped them away. Well... guess there's no need to reminisce thru unhappy past.. Wad matters now is that everyone's happy can le. :)

1st Battalion outfield Ex.

Period: Last Sunday to this Tue.

Sux.. gotta book in on sunday early morning to prep stores-- finished packing by 10 plus and waited all the way till 3pm den finally set out for the exercise.. wasted time waiting n waiting for the drivers to reach Bn line..

Deployments for the 1st n 2nd days weren't dat bad.. only till the nights came..
-1st nite: started raining right after we action-front.. instructions passed down to wear rain jackets.. (it was alrdy pouring and doing dat doesn't help much in keeping us dry. -.-").. after awhile when we were near fully wet den they told us to seek shelther in the vehicles. Only had a minimum of 2-3hrs rest before the day break. Shivered all the way arnd 5-6am.. zzz.
-2nd nite: i made a serious mistake of leading the towed gun in the opposite direction.. only to realised it after halfway thru action front.. damn.. got super gan jiong but luckily lao koh was there to remedy the situation for me.. felt super guilty to my men cos of the mistake den the layout of the heavy stores need to be changed 180degrees. Treated it as a serious learning point.. Lucky thing for the nite was that sufficient rest of 6hrs was given.. but all still woke up shivering at dawn.

Packing up, cleaning stores n gun was the faster for my det at the end of the day.. as we cant wait to finish things up and freakin get back to our bunks and rest.

*Gd points to take note of:
-Longan,lychee cans, 100plus and nutella n bread are gd to have for outfields.
-Help other detachments when your's is rdy. They'll in turn help your's back when you need help. (jus like D5 n 6! brother detachments :D)

Today's my camp Alpha Bty cohesion day.. SUper ZUN. Went Sentosa early at 8 with them.. haha managed to 'book' the whole volleyball area as we were early.. Played volleyball(Officer team got the championship title! congrats!), soccer, basketball all at the beach.. The bday boy(aka me =P) got dunked into sea and sandhole and 'forced' to take pic with 3jap girls(steady la! haha) ... finished the games n cohesion arnd 1plus.. den went off with jeremy to vivo to accompany him buy present for his soon-to-be gf(or alrdy is le? =x).. haha.. walked for arnd 30mins all around vivo till we finally found the ATM.. by then legs super cui liao.. =S din managed to find a suitable present so we went eat laksa at Food Republic at 3plus(ultra hungry by then).. super-duper-sinfully-deliciously big bowl! After done with lunch we went to this chocolate shop den jeremy bought me 3small balls of choc which costed $8.80 as present! super gd quality choc.. thX Jeremy! haha!

Thx to Alpha bty who were there today at Sentosa to celebrate my bday and also to all who sent me bday msges! Had a wonderful 20th bday today! :D

Went out with The Gang(michelle, delia, yihui, hanyun, zhong ming, julian).. At 1st tot it's only a normal dinner but it turned out to be a celebration for my upcoming bday! haha.. Anna accidentally jie chuan the secret.. :D
They actually bought a newurbanmale singlet(SPAIN) for me! Seriously one of the best present i've gotten... Like it lots! promise will wear it someday for u all.. HAHA! =P
Went Cafe cartel at marina sqr to makan.. End up all eat till supaaaaarrr full. I feel ultra PIG eating the big serving of pork ribs after dat.. ^(o o)^ Up next was the Awfully Chocolate cake(it's not awful.. jus that the brand is called Awfully Chocolate)... Again, Seriously, it was awfully nice la! got banana in between the layers.. thx yihui for choosing this flavour! =)
After that we went arcade play Daytona, bishi bashi and.. the Pushing Game.. haha.. think it's a newly introduced one.. fun sia.. Den we saw Choon hong n his gf.. haha.. talked abit bout eoy concert den we all left for home.

Celebrated boo bday at cc today.. went to tamp inter to buy a blueberry cheesecake.. zhong ming brought along cant-blow-out-candles and mr boo was like blowing super hard n the candles keep lighting up.... den when finally blow out all were clapping n laughing den suddenly light up again... den laugh more. haha!
We went SYCO beautiful sunday concert at esplanade in the afternn.. starting songs like dizi n suona ones not bad.. but last few songs really can slp.. haha.. all slow n ting bu dong ones.. :P

This week's quite a challenging week, with OUTFIELD on wed, thurs and.. abit of fri..

WED:
Went for commanders' training outfield at Lam Sam with 2guns at the start but 1gun happened to be down halfway(HOSEI! meaning 'less' shiong. haha..) and we worked with the other gun. The sian thing was to camo up our face.. nobody likes the freakin! idea of camo-ing our face when we are alrdy under camoflage net. Learned and settled some SOP with BSM n BC along the way and overall we did 2day n 1nite deployments den got the hell back to camp, which was like 1plus.. and we got to sleep at 2plus.

THURS + FRI:
Woke up early at 7 to prepare stores for the main outfield with the rest of the guys.. although only 2 tonners provided for 6 gun stores, still managed to accomodate enough space for all to sit in.. This is the 1st time working with my detachment outfield.. and they really gained my trust for their full effort put in to the drills, where timings are of concern. Admittedly, few blunders made by me esp for the broken air hose during the demo part n the aiming posts joke.. Was too gan jiong i suppose.. I better be more alert n steady the next time...
The guys really noe how to make outfield less sucky as it is, by bringing 'exotic' food like H2O drinks, tuna n bread, and longan n lychee cordials along.. The feeling of sharing a COLD n COOLING can of longans with my fellow detachment guys is like woooh! orgasmic man... it's like eating estacy(ok i duno how it really feels to eat estacy but i guess it's something around the same) haha.
Worked throughout the night all the way till 3plus am den we ceasefire the guns to go for cleaning.. got back to camp arnd 5 and managed to get into bed at 6am... super duper wobbly tired by then.. lucky we got to sleep till 12nn and we booked out anrd 5plus..

After booking out, went parkway to meet up with hz, her bro, mic, zhongming, julian, junpeng, kr, zw, noelene n peiyin to celebrate hz's bday.. Ate there den we went ECP for talkcock n games session.. Had fun taking pics tgt esp for those who got the forfeit.. =D ended arnd 10 den went home.

It's a Jonny Wallie saturday! so happy i din waste today at home. HA! Went orchard today with kr, peiyin n peiling.. Been quite some time since i last went there so i suggested the location.. :D actually went there to check out at places that offer plain colors ties which the CC CO will be using for concert at end of yr... Used to haf one shop at Far East that sells v cheap one but to my despair i guess the shop's closed down.. Other shops that sells ties offered much higher price, but lucky one of the shop owners suggested to me that there's one at clarke quay that may suit my preference. So i guess i'll be making a trip there soon.. But i duno where exactly it is!! o_O

After lunch we went walking arnd den went Cathay watched Wall-E digital... when i asked the person at the counter what's the diff between Wall-E and Wall-E digital, she said the graphics are better and the prices are the same! ...... -_-'' like dat ppl confirm buy the tix for the digital la! haha.

Went for prac today as usual without knowing that tml is teachers' day only after Zahreen gave Boo a brownie she made and wished him HTD.. I got the yummy brownie from her too! thX yea! Din noe she treated me like teacher also.. 1st teachers' day present. i'm so touched! (really!) hahaz..
Was like 'oops'. =X lucky is tml and not over yet...
Tied down some concert issues with the comm.. Am going Orchard! next wed or fri or sat, to search for places which sells ties, as part of the attire for the concert. Who wan go with me?
We bought a small heart-shaped cake and the girls made roses with ppr napkins(okay that is pro.)
Zhong ming brought his new Hulusi to cc today! and he lent me play and that is.. shiok la! 1st time playing the hulusi.. and the fingering is similar to bawu! niccceee.

last sat & sun:
had to book in on sat evening to prepare for AHM fatigue work... suayz.. unit kena chosen... worse thing had to work throughout the night to prepare the stuffs.. den morning stand there be spotters for the ppl running(in case anybody needs medical attention we'll call for the medics).all the way from 5am to 9plus am. tired like siao. wads worse we had to keep the whole stretch, yes the whole stretch of barricades and send back to not our camp, but other unit's camp. and that is demoralising when u were told at 1st u do not need to do it but last min say u need to. o_O!!

tue:
did DI duty... and i freakin dashed my hopes of ord-ing without kena extra. details not worth knowing... but it's ok actually, since it cud have been a worse case if i dun help Kelvin take the extra, and since it's DI duty.. :) and thx to those who console me by saying "wads a specialist without extras?" ha ha.

wed & thur:
had super duper long meetings with bc,2ic,bsm discussing about us specs n them n bty issues n bty outfield sop. 2ic can hold meetings n talk n lose track of time one.. and that is.. zzz.

fri(today):
FrEaKiNg Busy can! one of the busiest COS duties i've ever gotten, even thou the rest of the bty got half day off after noon time. ate breakfast at 0530 n only got to eat my lunch at 1330.. nearly blacked out in the armskote sia... afternn still need keep going ops hub n qm n armskote n office... only after dinner den can finally relac...

This week in camp was quite short, yet busy, yet fulfilling...

Mon n Tue:
Had Acct trainings in mornings n afternns... only did revision, going thru the moves for thurs' grading test..

Wed:
Went to Gunhill for simple outfield training... thankfully i haven really forgotten much for the action front n cease firing... but i tink i need to recap myself for laying... Moved in over to another bunk to join AM, ZH n YS... hopefully i can manage to psycho them to work harder.. hahaz.. Ys's showing improvement (but the crapping neva seems to cease!).. Hope the others will give him a chance.. as fellow specs, we shud support each other.. right? Anw, thx to AM n YS for helping me shift my stuffs over! =)

Thurs:
Quite a tiring day with the Acct test in the afternn... we almost failed the test on the 1st go as aggressiveness wasn't present in all the moves.. after some lecturing.. we went hard n serious for the 2nd go and there's like super duper huge improvement la! haha.. Million thx to my buddy DK for volunteering to be my sparring partner!(he's the only one doing sparring for 2 times!).. Went for dota and i freakin lost 2 out of 2 games. ok. normal. -_-"

Fri:
Half day. Thought we had to go for live run today but ended up cancelled! wootS! went for soccer n bball.. the most fun part for soccer was the 'penalty-kick-aim-my-butt' (oops forgot wad u all call it)... hahaz... Did pmcs den book out!~

After dat met up with 'andra', b-duh n JN to go buy dizi n tuner.. walked to peninsula plaza to bras brasah to rochor centre to looked for the suitable one.. somemore under the drizzle.. tired. BUT managed to find one which was rather gd.. in tune and sounds bright. Lucky us. :) after dat i tried some E diao dizis.. i freakin need get a new n better E diao b4 the competition manz. The current one not really suitable for me. zzz.

guard duty.

this week's abit tiring, with one DI duty n one weekend guard duty and close combat training...

tink i strained my arm with the many slammings for the ACCT.. till now yet to recover.. zzzz... however it was actually quite fun to learn the various ways to self-defend and at the same time take down the attacker(if u can get somebody the same size as u to partner u. haha!)

ytd's my 'virgin' weekend guard and guard 2ic.. weekend guard is really eff-ed up man... especially doing guard 2ic or guard comd.. it's either physically or mentally stress... somemore got 2 Reservice Training slots(1 morning, 1 afternn) and we'll get freakin busy when the bulk of them book in arnd the same time, clogging up the area outside pass office to either change for camp pass or surrender camera hp... some of them freaking inconsiderate n no patience.. jus knock n rush us to hurry when we're alrdy super busy n cant handle more ppl until we finish with the current ones. Lucky got the duty RP.. haha.. he jus 'rudely'(actually righteously) shout back to the guy to wait, making him diam diam.. =D and and.. for guard 2ic, need at main gate for long hours.. can really shag out man..

haha... ordered mac during guard last nite.. been quite awhile since i actually eat a full upsized meal.. super bloated after that.. eat le den go power nap. sinfully-shiok!

Rushed down for prac at cc today despite guard ytd... was slightly contented with today's overall attendance.. can tell that some of the SLs are doing their job... was more contented with perc section as i can see the huge improvement.. ben's got a way with teaching them.. i guess.. =) practiced with tanbo yue for zhan song qu in the afternn. it's the 1st time they combine for this song. picked up quite fast, managed to finish the whole song, hope the next prac i can add in the perc instruments... shucks... next week got AHM cant go for prac... zzz.

shiok tonite no need book in... tml got medical appt... and next fri off! woots. =DDD

Sat:
Went out with M.A.D, zhongming, sy n james to lau pa sat for dinner then managed to find a spot around the CBD area, with not so many ppl (somewhere opposite the floating platform) where we had quite a gd view at the fighter jets stunts and the fireworks... After that go jalan jalan at Suntec till 11plus... It's been quite awhile since i last went out with 'The Gang'.. did some catching-ups with them and had fun doing funny poses for the cameras.. :)

Sun:
Went down to cc as usual.. din really liked today's prac... boo only spent an hr for combines and we did only one song... not wholly his fault actually.. the strength of the orchestra is bad enough with near 20 ppl every week and most are sec1s.. seriously we need more players, if not i really cant imagine how we gonna do the concert in dec(which is like 3more mths away ONLY!)... oso.. got quite pissed today when someone(named ANDREA!) msged me that she thinks prac is boring so she left cc after passing sth to kr.. nearly wanted to scold her for her attitude but on a second thought, i realised i cant blame her for wad she thinks... since i personally oso feel the same way... haiz... sometimes i really feel like giving up my hopes for this orchestra... but somehow i guess its hard cos of my long 8yrs bond to the orchestra... haiz... 'walk one step see one step' bah.........

Back from duty in camp! kinda nearly screw things up and get myself into trouble for my duty ytd... Seriously, i need constantly remind myself to perform and maintain my composure better under stress conditions..

Yay! i passed my combat shoot! and.. i got my $ for marksmanship for the long-long-ago ATP range~ Woohoo.

To Singapore: Happy National Day.

Off days always rawks, especially for army personnel, when one can actually not be in camp, and even if the day is spent stoning n doing nothing at home, it still rawks, cos it's just the way it is.

Didn't do much things on thurs... whole morning playing com.. only till afternn den went for medical appt at ttsh..

Today's slightly better... spent half the afternn playing pool with andrew at PP.. learnt abit from the pro... haha.

Finally back!

WOohs. i'm finally back home from the 10day operation... freakin hell burnt whole of last week, including weekend, sitting at some park in the east blowin sea breeze n sun tanning n ZBL-ing... End result: a burnt face n palms n nearly gone mentally crazy/drained.. YES. nearly. Plus having 2 ulcers in one's mouth sux totally to the core, especially when every single lunch n dinner provided has at least one spicy meat/veg.. two words to describe: super orgasmic.

Anyways, went to watch SCO concert (The Legend of Silk and Bamboo) ytd featuring dizi n erhu masters Zhang Wei Liang and Yan Jie Min.. actually one of the few times hearing comtempory/new age CO music.. songs super power n skills super power.

Made up my decision to participate in the end of yr NAC music competition... this yr's gonna be super competitive especially for the open category, with so many pros participating too... well.. at least i can make use of this opportunity to prac dizi and not slacken down... need to gain some experience too.. gd luck to me and Sheng yong!

LiZhen dizi master class.

Went to Hsing Hai at 2pm with kin ren to listen a master class by Li Zhen, a dizi master from China.. Quite worth the trip, after hearing him talked about his bibliography in learning dizi and some history about Mongolia and the '草原笛派' style of playing on the dizi. He had a few demonstrations on his dizis, two of which are the big D major with 2 di muo holes and one with 8-holes, which are less seen around locally. Arghz! jus found out that the recording i did for the master class is too soft and cant hear much.. zzzz... wasted... Can't wait for his concert tml la! hahaz..

It's been a long time since i have a good practice with the guys at cc... today's attendance was well, better as compared to previous months, especially for woodwind section.. there's some improvement for other sections like erhu and tanbo yue recently, with a few new guys coming for practices almost every week... Had fun playing combines with them and also the mini-intro-icebreaker session today...
Haven been putting in effort to organize the co for quite some time... guess it's time for me to step up again into the committee and reorganize things and get the co to be more lively... i hope and i trust that the newly chosen committee members today are able to work hard together to plan and make the coming concert in dec a success. :)

Took off on Mon so, not wasting it at home whole day, did 3 main things...
1. Tried to call up singtel to ask for assistance to install the wireless connection on my bro's laptop.. wad could have been a 5min thing ended up near 1hr! Duno y got connection alrdy but still cant surf the net.. spent the near 1hr on the phone with the guy troubleshooting all the possible problems that may occur but still to no avail.. sux... arranged for technician to come fix the problem this comin sat...

2. Went to sign up for basic theory test for driving at CDC... opening an account plus the trial test plus the test itself added up to near $30 la! haha.. shudn't haf opt for the trial test... but after asking arnd some say the trial test is useful for the test.. so... :)

3. Lent one of my G diao dizi to Andrea since she so interested in playing dizi.. and 'threatened' to tell her mum that she misbehaves while on the way to her mum's car.. haha.. it's so fun bullying her! (wahaha)

Today heng got to book out... cos tml is the run at East coast park.. haha! rain again den HosAY liao... postpone again... woohoo! next week i'm gonna be on 'forced' leave from mon to wed... duno gd or bad... one time clear 3days leave now left only 10.. end of yr how to enjoy more? haha.. suck thumb!

Had quite a short week in camp this week, with only 4days spent in camp..

MON:

did guard duty with jeremy and jeffrey... ok.. we're the permanent J-Team for guard duty liao.. haha not bad.. and the next morning at rear gate lucky i neva meet Big Head LIM(the csm for the camp; we all call him Tua Tao Lim) lol... he usually books in thru rear gate and questions the guards and finds faults with them.. And threatens them with extra! :S sux la... haha..

TUE:
Guard rest! sshhhiokk la.. came back from guard at 9am and rested till lunch time(that means half day over :D)... den after lunch went to workout at gym for awhile with Andrew, Jeff and Desmond...

WED:
Did DI duty for the day... i was lucky today no need go safti do 'SK'(ask any army personnel wads SK and u'll get the ans.)... so woke up in the morning brought the men for breakfast den did area cleaning after that... went for lunch den got area cleaning (AGAIN!) but at the ground floor around the perimeter of our building... 'they' say it's to prevent the dengue cases from increasing.. ok lo.. jus do lor.. o_O

THUR:
With more than half of the batt booked out for their offs and leaves, today was considered most slack le... slpt late last nite and woke up late today.. :D shucks.. set alarm to wake up at 2.45am to watch Germany vs Turkey, but i tink i din even hear my watch n hp alarm sound offf.. too tired i guess.. slpt like a log.. went for gym den lunch den booked out for my medical appt at ttsh... after that walked around novena n square2 for awhile den bus-ed home.

Wed & Thurs:

Sux. Heard last min news that we were going outfield on thurs and had to prepare all the stores n stuffs needed... Wads sian was that i was one of the few who need to do overnight sentry on wed for the stores which are gonna be sent to the camp where we do our deployment.. It was freakin hard to slp in the tonner la! even when sitting at the front seat with cushion, there wasn't any comfortable position to be in..

On the day of deployment, was quite excited and eager (at first) as this was the 1st time doing deployment with my men... but after one deployment plus camo-ing up the net plus the freakin hot sun above us, totally shagged out.. man.. that's when we realise we were lacking teamwork and communication.. (ok i cant actually expect perfect on the 1st time we go, but i guess the commanders need to shout more to motivate the men to work faster)...

Fri:
Booked out on thurs nite as we're supposed to have inter-bty run at East Coast Park on fri. Woke up early to go ecp, and saw Jeremy while walking towards the gathering point. Actually we cant find the gathering point so we went into Carl's junior to wait.. Ended up there was cat1 status and heavy rain... called the rest and they told us the run's canceled.. Swee La! lucky no need run cos i'm yet to recover from the pain on my feet since ytd's outfield.. the only sad thing was that the planning all gone to waste...(i guess they'll be holding it again someday? mayb in camp?!) haha..

Went watch CO camp concert at 4pm. This yr's choice of songs weren't as nice as i supposed them to be, as compared to previous years... and they planned the performers into 2 orchestras A n B... i dun tink it was a gd decision as it allows others to compare standards between the 2... but i guess the management's thinking is that they want to allow more ppl to get into the camp for more learning experience and interaction between schools.

After the concert i went ECP(again! haha so zun) for jc class bbq and gathering... hmmm... wasn't as fun as i thought with the usual common 2 topics that we talked about.. army stuffs and uni... but it's not strange i guess since it's wad we're all currently doing now... i spent most of the time listening instead of talking... didn't really had a gd topic to talk about... but still wan to thank CT for organising the bbq and preparations done. (:
